About

Robert Nnake

Common Sense Leadership focused on People

A man with a warm smile, a beard and a shaved head, wearing a navy polo shirt, sitting against a dark blue background.

Robert Nnake is a proud Fort Bend native. His journey began in Fort Bend ISD classrooms, filled with students from all backgrounds. During school breaks, he was up before the sun, helping his father and brothers with the family vending business. These are the places where he first learned the value of hard work, service, and unity; principles that continue to guide him today.

Robert holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from Rice University. His professional journey spans political campaigns, advocacy work, management consulting, and healthcare organizations, but at every step, his focus has remained the same: building stronger, thriving communities.

Today, Robert serves as the Director of Community Relations in the Office of Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, where he helps lead the County's efforts to connect with and respond to the needs of a population larger than 26 states. In one of the most diverse regions in the country, he works to ensure that community voices are not only heard but actively help shape the county's future. From disaster response during hurricanes and public health emergencies to bringing together different groups to advance smart, people-centered policy and budgets, Robert plays a key role in bridging government with the communities it serves.

As a first generation American, Robert brings a perspective rooted in faith, resilience, and the belief that every generation should have more opportunities than the last; and that more is possible when people of all backgrounds work together.
