A Platform for Fort Bend
A plan rooted in community, resilience, and growth
Lower Costs
Families and businesses across Fort Bend are being squeezed by skyrocketing insurance, water, and healthcare costs, and it's eating into paychecks and growth. I know because I feel it too.
What we will do:
Push for fairer rates by working directly with state regulators and insurers
Strengthen building codes and risk-reduction measures to bring down premiums
Expand county investments in flood control and drainage to reduce long-term costs
Strengthen Communities
Fort Bend is the most diverse county in America, and that's one of our greatest strengths. These politicians are working to divide us. I will work to bring us together.
What we will do:
Celebrate our diversity and reject efforts to divide our communities
Expand opportunities for public input, so all voices feel involved
Invest in programs that connect youth, seniors, and families across all backgrounds
Create events and partnerships that bring the community together
Better Jobs
Give young people skills and help them get a job. Offer apprentice programs to residents of all ages for jobs that help our county grow.
What we will do:
Invest in youth training programs that enable residents to gain valuable skills
Provide grants and tax breaks to small businesses that encourages growth in strategic sectors
Form partnerships to empower residents to launch and expand businesses
Develop apprenticeship programs so residents of all ages can get good jobs
Prepare for Emergencies
Floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and chemical spills. Fort Bend has faced them before, and we'll face them again. The difference will be whether we're ready.
What we will do:
Invest in flood mitigation, evacuation routes, and robust warning systems
Partner with houses of worship, nonprofits, and businesses to build resilience hubs
Lead regular preparedness trainings so families aren't left behind when disaster strikes
Smart Growth
Fort Bend is one of the fastest-growing counties in America. The decisions we make now will decide whether growth lifts us up or drags us down.
What we will do:
Expand and modernize roads to relieve traffic and reduce commute times
Invest in drainage and water systems to protect against flooding
Ensure growth pays for itself through responsible development agreements
Invest in long term solutions to the water crisis
A Budget That Leaves No One Behind
The county budget is a reflection of our values. Right now, too much money goes toward political games instead of solving real problems. We need a budget that's disciplined, transparent, and fair.
What we will do:
Cut waste and end backroom deals that prioritize insiders
Protect essential services, like public safety, health, infrastructure, and education
Ensure every community receives resources, not just the politically favored areas
Make county budgeting more transparent so residents can trust where their tax dollars go
